Building Inclusive Spaces: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Movement Professionals

At SPRING., we believe movement is for every body—regardless of background, ability, identity, or experience. This transformative, on-demand course empowers Pilates instructors, yoga teachers, personal trainers, dancers, group fitness leaders, and all movement professionals to cultivate truly inclusive, welcoming spaces where every student feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

Guided by DEI educator and fitness expert Portia Boston, this course is grounded in both evidence-based principles and lived experience. You’ll go beyond theory to explore systemic barriers, uncover how bias and exclusion show up in movement spaces, and gain actionable strategies to challenge and change them. Through engaging lessons and practical tools, you’ll build the confidence and skills to lead with empathy, cultural humility, and intentionality.

Whether you’re just beginning your journey or seeking to elevate your existing practice, this course will help you build community, promote equity, and expand access to movement for diverse populations. It’s an essential investment in your growth as a compassionate educator and changemaker—because when movement spaces are inclusive, everyone thrives.

I honestly loved this course. The way the content was delivered felt so thoughtful and engaging, it didn’t feel like I was just sitting through a lecture. It was interactive, immersive, and really made me reflect on my own teaching in ways I hadn’t before. I walked away with not just a better understanding of DEI, but real tools I could apply in my classes right away. I genuinely believe I’m a better, more inclusive movement teacher because of this experience.
