Welcome to the Pre & Postnatal Certification Orientation.
This course is designed to set you up for a clear, confident, and successful certification experience. It provides an overview of the program structure, expectations, and key requirements so you can navigate your learning with ease from the very beginning.
Throughout this orientation, you will be guided through how the certification is structured, what is required for successful completion, and how to move through your learning pathway with clarity. You will review your enrollment agreement, access and download your course manuals, and become familiar with your Learning Hub so you know exactly where to find resources and track your progress.
You will also develop an understanding of your self-directed learning requirements, including how to approach your 15 hours of self-study and use your logbook as a tool to support your progress and reflection.
By the end of this course, you will feel oriented, prepared, and ready to begin your certification with confidence and direction.
Objectives
Students who complete this course successfully will be able to:
- Navigate the Pre & Postnatal Certification Learning Pathway with clarity and confidence
- Access and utilize course materials, including manuals and Learning Hub resources
- Understand the structure, requirements, and 12-month completion timeline of the certification
- Explain the requirements for achieving the Certificate of Completion, including prerequisites and assessment expectations
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of their self-directed learning commitment (15 hours)
- Utilize the logbook as a tool to track learning, reflect on progress, and support integration
- Begin the certification with a clear understanding of expectations, responsibilities, and next steps
